Mauritius Marine Conservation Society
The Mauritius Conservation Society (MMCS) is a nongovernmental organization that works on education and preservation of the marine environment in Mauritius. The MMCS is conducting activities to educate the population of Mauritius to the underwater world with major axis as the protection of marine mammals and coral reefs. Today one of its objectives is to regulate the practice of Dolphin Watching and to continue its actions to study, education and conservation.

Since its inception, the MMCS has developed several programs to safeguard the ecosystem as enhance the underwater archeology, stop fishing with dynamite and rifle underwater establish artificial reefs, identify marine protected areas, account data on marine mammal strandings, identify and protect the cetaceans, create educational games on the marine environment
